Marisa Cleveland
Marisa Cleveland loves to laugh, hates to cry, and does both often. As a writer, she writes. Every day. Perhaps because she married her best friend, her adult romance novels focus on playfully naughty relationships developed through friendship and family-oriented values. She loves to connect with writers and readers.

Marisa has two pieces coming out this year from ENtangled

Jennifer Bernard is a graduate of Harvard and a former news promo
producer. The child of academics, she confounded her family by preferring romance novels to … well, any other books. She left big city life for true love in Alaska, where she now lives with her husband and stepdaughters. She’s no stranger to book success, as she also writes erotic novellas under a naughty secret name not to be mentioned at family gatherings. Visit her on the Web at or connect with her on twitter @Jen_Bernard.
Current Series the Bachelor Fireman and the book out this month is Sex and the Single Fireman.

Coreene Callahan

Canadian hockey-girl Coreene Callahan burst on the scene in the Spring of 2012 via Amazon's Montlake Publishing with her Dragonfury series.

Dragon Fury: Fury of Fire, Fury of Ice and Fury of Surrender (Nov. 13, 2012) is a sensuous story of humanities unseen protectors, the women they love and the villains they fight.

Coreene has a new series: Circle of Seven which opens up December 4, 2012 with KNIGHT AWAKENED:

Tara Sivec

Tara Sivec is a best selling author, wife, mom, chauffeur, cheerleading coach, soccer coach, babysitter, short-order cook, genius and albino squirrel hunter. She lives in Ohio with her husband and two kids. In her spare time she likes to read, write and cover things in chocolate. Most of her material comes from real life experiences with family and friends. Lucky for them, the names have been changed to protect the innocent (aka, drunk). Tara also writes under the pen name T.E. Sivec.

Suzanne Johnson

Suzanne Johnson is the author of a new urban fantasy series beginning with ROYAL STREET and RIVER ROAD, both coming in 2012 from Tor Books, and ELYSIAN FIELDS, coming in 2013, also from Tor. A longtime New Orleans resident now living in Auburn, Alabama, Suzanne is a veteran journalist with more than fifty national awards in writing and editing nonfiction. She is a graduate of the University of Alabama, and a native of Winfield, Alabama.
During her daytime job, Suzanne is associate editor of Auburn Magazine, the quarterly magazine of the Auburn University Alumni Association.
Suzanne will be writing a wickedly funny guest post!

Cathy Yardley

A few random facts about Cathy Yardley:

She is a fiction addict.

She loves J.D. Robb/Nora Roberts, Jim Butcher, J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood, Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter, Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake series, Stephen King, Jennifer Crusie, Marian Keyes, J.K. Rowling, and a slew of other authors.

She has been known to stay up all night to finish a new novel. She doesn't so much read as devour.

She is an out of the closet foodie.

People who follow her on Facebook can attest: She is a foodie-blog whore. Love Smitten Kitchen. Adore Pioneer Woman Cooks. Bakes her own bread on a weekly basis (because the recipe is so frickin' easy, a chimp could do it -- and it tastes phenomenal. She is a walking infomercial for this bread. ) Total Top Chef freak.

She is a geekgirl.

She loves the San Diego Comic-con, or "The Con" as they call it.

She was part of the SCA -- The Society for Creative Anachronism -- and briefly sponsored her own mini army. She learned to speak some Japanese from anime.
She has a near encyclopedic knowledge of character actors and obscure movies. I have been called to settle bar bets.
She has a more-flirtatious-than-appropriate relationship with Excel spreadsheets. When she used to work at a day job, if she wore lipstick they assumed she was going on an interview. To this day, an entire marketing department lives in fear of her memory.
She loves being an author.
Loves writing. Loves promoting. Loves everything about it. And she loves hearing from readers. Email her, anytime, and she'll get back to you as soon as she can.

Amanda Usen
Amanda Usen knows two things for certain: chocolate cheesecake is good for breakfast and a hot chef can steal your heart. Her husband stole hers on the first day of class at the Culinary Institute of America. They married after graduation in a lovely French Quarter restaurant in New Orleans. After enjoying the food and the fun in the Big Easy for a few years, they returned to Western New York to raise a family.
Amanda spends her days teaching pastry arts classes at a local community college and her nights writing romance. She’s a member of the Romance Writers of America ® and the Western New York Romance Writers. When she’s not writing, teaching or baking, she can usually be found chasing the kids around the yard with her very own scrumptious husband.

Jeanne Adams

It’s wonderful for a writer to live near Washington, DC as I do. The research resources are fabulous, the scenery is great – complete with monuments, gorgeous public buildings, and the most amazing, weird, convoluted, political people – and I get to be here with the most awesome family, friends and neighbors in the world. I live here with my wonderful husband (he’s my personal hero), my two delightful, growing-too-fast sons, and my two very active dogs, both of whom are rescues.

As a former marketing executive, I worked for research parks, governmental concerns and not-for-profits, (which is also great fodder for the writer’s mind!) but now I’m happily employed as a full-time writer and consultant. I’m a member of Romance Writers of America, Mystery Writers of America, Science Fiction Writers of America and Thriller Writers. I’m also a proud member of both the Washington Romance Writers and the Maryland Romance Writers, my local RWA chapters, as well as several online RWA chapters.

One of the most enjoyable things I get to do as a consultant and writer, is to teach. I enjoy connecting with my clients, readers and other writers. In addition to my marketing work, I have degrees in residential and commercial interior design and landscape design. Based on my research, I teach a class called Creating the Write Environment. Having also worked in the funeral and cemetery business for nearly thirteen years, I teach a class on Body Disposal. I’m also delighted to teach a class called Limbo-Limbo or Surviving Till you Get THE CALL.

Being part of the Adams Family, as you can imagine, Halloween is my favorite holiday. I love to work in the garden, run my dogs, hang out with my family, and write. Other than that, as the late Anne McCaffrey used to say, the rest is subject to change without notice.
Cecy Robson
Cecy (pronounced Sessy) Robson is an author with Penguin's SIGNET ECLIPSE. She attributes her passion for story-telling back to the rough New Jersey neighborhood she was raised in. As a child, she was rarely allowed to leave the safety of her house and passed her time fantasizing about flying, fairies, and things that go bump in the night. Her dad unwittingly encouraged Cecy's creativity by kissing her goodnight wearing vampire fangs. Gifted and cursed with an overactive imagination, she began writing her Urban Fantasy Romance Series, Weird Girls, in May 2009. THE WEIRD GIRLS: A Novella, debuts December 4, 2012 followed by SEALED WITH A CURSE, December 31, 2012, and A CURSED EMBRACE, July 2, 2013.

Jennifer Estep

Jennifer Estep is the NY Times Best Selling author of The Elemental Assassins series for Urban Fantasy (Adults) for Pocket Books, the Mythos Academy young adult urban fantasy series for Kensington and the Bigtime Paranormal Romance series for Berkley.

Jennifer describes herself as a "...Southern gal through and through.

Sassy, sarcastic, and just a tad crazy."

On her website she says:

I spent my formative years doing the usual kid things – playing, hanging out with my friends, and making up wild stories in my head.
It’s the last one that’s gotten me into trouble.
I don’t remember the first book I read. Or the second. Or even the third. But somewhere along the way, I fell in love with books and reading. Fairy tales, fantasies, adventure stories, mysteries, romances, westerns. As a kid, I read every book that I could get my hands on.

My mom, bless her, encouraged this obsession by taking me to the library every week. It’s one of my favorite childhood memories. Most folks think penicillin, indoor plumbing, and the Internet are the world’s best inventions. Not me. The greatest thing ever created was a library. Indoor plumbing is a close second, though.

The more I read, the more I thought about writing my own stories. I penned a few poems and short stories over the years, mainly for class assignments. Somewhere along the way, I realized that I wanted to write books for a living.
In college, I majored in English because of my love of books. But what can you do with an English degree? I didn’t know. One semester, I got a job with the college newspaper and discovered you could write stories and make a respectable living. Since that light-bulb moment, I’ve earned a bachelor’s degree in English and journalism, and a master’s degree in professional communications. Currently, I’m an award-winning features page designer for a daily newspaper.
Now, after many, many years of toil and trouble, I’ve achieved my dream of being a bona fide, published, fiction author. I plan to keep on keeping on – writing, dreaming, making up wild stories in my head.
And getting myself into trouble.

C.J. Ellisson
In the spring of 2008, C.J. started undergoing some medical tests for some issues she’d been ignoring for a few years. We’ve all done it ignored a problem we hoped would go away because our lives were too busy to give attention to some minor inconvenience.

Tests led to more tests and answers started to slowly trickle in. To keep her mind off of all that she couldn’t do and to focus on what she could do, she started writing in February 2009. A lover of books for decades, she owes her husband, Pete, her first writing partner, and many close friends a big hug of thanks for thinking she should even attempt to write a book.

In five months C.J. managed to: Write her first 90,000-word Urban Fantasy novel, join several writing guilds and writing sites, start a fan page on Facebook, enter several writing contests and become a finalist in most of them, attend her first National writing conference and learn about how to write. Who knew it could take so much work and still be so much fun?

C.J. is represented by Kristin Lindstrom of Lindstrom Literary Management.
Her publisher is Red Hot Publishing, a small press dedicated to preserving the author's rights. (

Raised on hard rock music from the cradle, she attended her first Styx concert at age six and fell instantly in love with live music.
She's been known to travel over a thousand miles just to see a favorite band in concert. As a teen, she discovered her second love, romantic fiction -- first, voraciously reading steamy romance novels and then penning her own.

The first book in Olivia's Sinner's On Tour Series, BACKSTAGE PASS, was published in 2010 by Sourcebooks.  ROCK HARD and DOUBLE TIME (just released November 2012) quickly followed. The last two books in the series are expected to be out in 2013. In 2009, she was nominated for a Career Achievement award in Erotica by Romantic Times.

According to her personal memo book, seen only by her eyes--probably because it would reveal that she loves the Partridge Family and the movie Pure Country--the top three ways to ensure her readers continue to come looking for her books are #1 Write a great story, #2 KEEP writing great stories and #3 “For the love of God, don’t let them get to know the author – that will scare them away.” (Particularly if they find out about the Partridge Family.)

She has become known for writing the type of erotic romance that not only wins her fans of that genre, but readers who would “never” read BDSM romance. That’s because first and foremost, she thinks what attracts a reader is strong characters.

Lynsay Sands
Lynsay Sands is the author of the Argeneau series -- one of my all time favorites!
But she doesn't sit back between series, she also writes very popular contemporary and historical romance. With the eighteenth book int e the Argeneau series and over 20 historical romance, a contemporary romance and many anthology contributions, Lynsay is a writing powerhouse! And, the Argeneau series has the most scientifically based rationale for Vampires Immortals ever!

Here's Lynsay's bio from her very own web page
Releases Feb 26

I was born in 1142 which is why my first love is historicals. I’ll let you guess why I love stories of immortals…er…well, vampires to you people. When I first started writing the family history, everyone was up in arms, afraid I was revealing too much, but I explained they were being published as fiction and I wouldn’t use real names. Of course, that was before I found I just couldn’t write the stories with other names…
Just kidding! I couldn’t resist. Of course, I’m not a vampire. I wouldn’t mind being one. It would be a heck of a diet and I’m always looking for a successful diet, but despite not being a vampire…well…a gal can dream can’t she? And that’s what books are; waking dreams or stories, tales to amuse, entertain and distract us from everyday life.
I love books. Reading books takes me away to other worlds and on grand adventures I just couldn’t have otherwise. Writing them does the same, but also lets me play God for a bit. I know that sounds weird, but when writing my stories, I decide who lives and dies, who succeeds or fails and so on. I can give the good guys the happy endings they deserve and be sure the bad guys lose and get their comeuppance. Unfortunately, that’s something that doesn’t always happen in real life.
Perhaps that’s why writers write. Maybe we writers are all secret control freaks, wanting to control the world. Or maybe we’re just dreamers lucky enough to be able to make a living at dreaming. Either way I love writing and would do it whether I was paid for it or not. But I’m very very grateful to be able to share these stories with you. I hope they help you escape your troubles and trials if only for a little bit, and I hope they make you smile…You can be certain I’m often chuckling myself silly while writing them. Enjoy!

Debra Anastasia Debra Anastasia is busy, just like every other mom. There's dinner, the dogs, the kids, and their homework. The laundry pile turns into a big, heaping monster. When the clothes finally make it into the washer, it gets unbalanced and puts on an elaborate show before it cuts out. This crazy job that never ends is her first love and her crowning achievement. Her writing started a decent handful of years ago when along with the dogs, cat, kids, and husband, the voices of characters started whispering stories in Debra's ear. Insomnia was the gateway for the plots that wouldn't give up, wouldn't let go. In the shower, a twist would take hold and--dripping and frenzied--she'd find somewhere, anywhere to write it down. Debra grew up in New York and got a bachelor's degree in political science at SUNY New Paltz. At the start of her marriage, she moved to southern Maryland with her husband. She still doesn't trust crabs and all their legs, though everyone else in her family thinks they're delicious. Her favorite hobbies include knitting, painting furniture and wall murals, and slapping clowns. Earlier this year Omnific Publishing published her debut novel, Crushed Seraphim, and she's currently pounding out the sequel to angel Emma's adventures. You can visit her website at and find her on twitter @Debra_Anastasia.
