I love Jennifer's books.  They are smart, well-written, and filled with lots of thrilling action. Her characters face tough situations and grow their way through them. I'm up to date on the YA Mythos Academy series, and I am catching up on the Elemental Assassins.

Greetings! First of all, I want to thank the folks at Fools for Luv for asking me to participate in the event. Thanks so much!

With Valentine’s Day fast approaching, I thought that I would talk about some of my favorite romantic movies. Here goes:

The Princess Bride: Is there a more quotable movie out there? Inconceivable! I love all of the memorable characters and the fairy tale-feel of this movie, but what makes it really special is the epic romance between Buttercup and Westley – one that can survive Westley being mostly dead at one point.

The Thomas Crown Affair: I love a good heist movie, and this one combines a clever caper with a cool romance. It’s so much fun watching the game of cat-and-mouse between Renee Russo’s insurance investigator and Pierce Brosnan’s suave thief turn into a genuine romance.

Charade: This is another caper movie and stars Audrey Hepburn, who has to figure out where her late husband hid a fortune before the bad guys do. Lucky for her, she has Cary Grant looking out for her.

Romancing the Stone: I think all romance writers secretly want to be Joan Wilder, who goes from writing about great adventures and love stories to actually having an adventure and romance of her own.

The Proposal: I also love a good romantic comedy, and this one with Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds has plenty of quirky characters and situations to make you laugh. Plus, I’m a sucker for the fake-relationship-that-becomes-real storyline.

Beauty and the Beast: I love the fairy tale, but this animated Disney movie is one of the best versions of the story. Period. Plus, singing teacups are cool.

Casino Royale: I’m a big James Bond fan, and the relationship between Bond and Vesper in this movie is something special, even if it doesn’t have a happy ending.

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl: Johnny Depp steals the show as Captain Jack Sparrow, but I also really like the romance between Will and Elizabeth, who fall in love as they have a series of swashbuckling adventures. Isn’t love on the high seas grand?

The Empire Strikes Back: You know from the moment that Han Solo and Princess Leia start bickering that they’re meant for each other. Of course, Han and Leia don’t get their happy ending in this movie, but what’s a great romance without a little angst, heartache, and carbonite?

So there you have it. Some of my favorite romantic movies. What about you guys? What are some of your favorite romantic movies?
