Help! Valentine's Out on the Town! With Marisa Cleveland
It's February 10th and Valentine's Day is four days away!
I'm so thrilled Stephanie & Dana have invited me to be part of their blog hop, because as a writer, I spend most of my time in yoga pants and tee shirts, and I'm not afraid to admit I need help!
My hubby and I love Valentine's Day, and in celebration of the holiday and my debut novella releasing, we've decided to make this Valentine's Day extra special.
As unprepared as I am for this super date, I've decided to make a list.
I love lists.
Here are four items on my list:
1. Don't Panic. Four days is ninety-six hours, and that is plenty of minutes to get everything in order.
2. Immediately wax everything appropriate.
3. Wash all essentials and try on different outfits, including matching shoes, purse, and accessories.
4. Shop! Mints, blotting tissue, lotion, hand sanitizer...
Thanks for reading my list. Please comment with ideas to add to my list! What am I missing for a night out on the town?
Marisa Cleveland loves to laugh, hates to cry, and does both often. As a writer, she writes. Every day. Perhaps because she married her best friend, her adult romance novels focus on playfully naughty relationships developed through friendship and family-oriented values. She loves to connect with writers and readers.

My favorite thing to wear when I go out is a cool or fun hat. Hats make you stand out from the crowd, they show your personality and they are great conversation starters.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. Or you could wear one of those "fascinators," like the princess wore to Kate and William's wedding.
DeleteI always admire women with stylish hats! I had a favorite one but lost it on vacation. This reminds me to get another one! Thanks! ~Marisa
DeleteThanks for the fun post and congrats on the new releases! I'd have to say... splurge and get your hair professionally styled :)
ReplyDeleteErin - that is such a good idea. I have done that for big dinners and such and it makes a huge difference.
DeleteWhat a great idea! I wish I could have my stylist wash and blow dry my hair every morning too and not just for special dinner dates. :D ~Marisa
Deletea nice long soak in the tub with scented bubbles! And a scarf/shawl incase you get cool later in the night.
ReplyDeleteOh I hope I win this one! Been dying to read these book!! *Webbed Feet Crossed!*
It's a great giveaway! thanks for visiting.
DeleteI love the scarf/shawl idea! Now... to decide which one... :) Thanks so much! ~Marisa
DeleteI totally agree with the list. SHAVE everything and clean undies!
ReplyDeleteMary
Clean undies are a must--even on Arbor Day!
DeleteSplurge on some sexy undergarments. Victoria's Secret is my go-to!! Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteAll my fave undergarments are from VS!
DeleteMarisa,
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna have to say... go wild. Put something really interesting in your purse, maybe one of those remote control vibrating bullets that go in your panties, and give hubby the controller at dinner.
Or maybe even a dirty message about what you want to do to him later.
Hi Sarah! Ooooh, I'm pretty tame. Wild is sooooo not me. Heheheee. But I like the dirty message idea. :)
DeleteI say don't forget to get him a gift! My hubby likes when I give him something on Valentine's day.
ReplyDeleteHe loved the gifts I gave him. :) But they didn't fit in my purse, so we exchanged goodies in the morning.
DeleteI've never had a date for Valentine's day so I can't comment on what is essential. I agree with your list and the rest of the comments.
ReplyDeleteWe don't usually make it a date, since it's sooo crowded in all the restaurants, but this year we decided to go out. It was quite the evening. :)
DeleteI agree with your list and what everyone else has said. Thanks for the great giveaway!

Thanks for commenting! :) I love all the books in the book bundle. :)
DeleteI love lists too! Hmmmm. I would probably add a nap and some yoga, so that you're refreshed and limber for whatever the evening might entail. ;)
ReplyDeleteOooooh, limber. I like it!
DeleteA sexy, tousled hairstyle is a must or maybe even a haircut!
ReplyDeletetaccb(underscore)1981(at)yahoo(dot)com
Great idea! Am definitely going to be hitting the salon and spa soon. :)
DeleteGreat post for a v day giveaway!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I love all the books in the bundle. :)
DeleteDepending on what kind of night out it is... a scarf, a flask, and new lingerie. ;)
ReplyDeleteI love all three suggestions! Perfect trio for a night of adventure and celebrating. :)
DeleteI defer to all of these very experienced women. The other day, I told my husband not to get me anything for Valentine's Day. He said (as he says every year), "For a romance writer, you are completely devoid of romance!" LOL
ReplyDeleteHaha! That's awesome! :D Love it!
Deleteyou need to have a lip gloss and small compact in your purse... Light shawl or jacket... Oh make sure your nails are done... Loved you list...
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting! Love your suggestions! Nails are a must. I'm addicted to pedicures. :D
