The first of what we hope turns into MANY prizes for FOOLS FOR LUV has arrived!

This is a generous box of Mass Market Paperbacks from Berkley/NAL the Penguin Group USA. I was so excited when I opened it I had to take a picture right away!  THANKS Berkley/NAL! I haven't even taken it apart to look at it but as you can see it is chock full of great books by authors you love!

Art Preview for FOOLS FOR LUV!

Here is some of the artwork we've been creating for the event. We've gone to great lengths to use art that is ok, but if it belongs to you and you want it down just say the word.

This is an example of a badge that guests will
have for their sites. Each will be customized

One of our authors wanted male pinups too! We aim to please! For some reason this reminds me of "Mystery Date," but I don't think naked hot guy was one of the playing pieces.

What's Love Got to Do with It?

Love for Arts
Love for Arts (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
Love makes the world go around. It's the force behind almost every form of art, in one form or another. There are different types of love: platonic, parental, romantic.  It's certainly the source of a lot of lyric based cliche that is running through my mind right now.  like: "Is it a sweet old fashioned notion?"

What's behind love though?  Is it a higher function, an interpretation of brain stem impulses, is it merely a stratagem of evolution:  love = protection = survival?

Is it that which makes us human? If so then when we look at our bonds with our pets, we call what we feel for each other love what does that mean?

What do you think love is all about?

Can't Hurry LUV! What Love Songs are Stuck in your Head?

To Celebrate ALL THINGS LOVE AND ROMANCE, Fangs, Wands & Fairy Dust and Readaholics Anonymous will be hosting the 2013’s FOOLS FOR LUV blog event the first fourteen days of February. The beginning of month will be filled with all things romantic and bookish, and of course, fun!

The event will be promoted via our blogs, our Goodreads events, our new Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/FoolsForLuv), and on Pinterest (currently an empty board - http://pinterest.com/fools4luv/) and on Twitter at @foolsforluv. To keep it exciting, we’ve combined forces on a new blog just for this event www.foolsforluv.blogspot.com!

Each day will have a different header we’ve designed like the one above. We have chosen a “Pin-Up Girl” theme. Pin-Ups are immensely popular right now. They represent the early to mid twentieth century ideals of romance and sexy femininity. The women were shown at their most beautiful and had healthy figures. They are also a little bit naughty, or, sometimes, a lot naughty.

As I have worked on this project, love songs keep running through my head. And, I am not a music oriented purpose the one that recurs over and over: You Can't Hurry Love, by the Supremes and Phil Collins among the many singing this energetic love song that leaves use hopeful for a future with a special person, or persons, at our sides. What love songs are stuck in your head?

You can't hurry Valentine's Blogging either, so we are getting a head start. If your interested in our amazing blog hop go HERE to check it out and join us.

We're in the middle of inviting authors to jump on the LUV Train. Who's come on board? Check that out HERE.

Want to get in touch with us? Feel you want to be involved? Are you a publisher, writer, blogger or someone who has something lovey to share? Shoot us a Luv Line! foolsforluv@gmail.com or steph@fangswandsandfairydust.com.
